Director’s Message

The Adani Group has recently established 'Gujarat Adani Institute of Medical Sciences' (GAIMS) as a high-tech Medical College at Bhuj. The objective of GAIMS is to develop dedicated, community oriented, empathetic young medical professionals, empowered to provide comprehensive state-of-the-art clinical care at the doorstep of the common man. In view of the constantly changing nature of medical knowledge, the facilities of an ultra modern ‘e’ – library with round the clock internet services have been provided in the classrooms and all departments as well as hostels to enable the faculty & students to have access to the world library on medical sciences.

Academics & Research are the two buzz words in the institute, where practical learning through integrated teaching, problem based learning & village stay, will reinforce theoretical knowledge & sharpen the practical expertise.

The system of health care delivery has changed significantly during the past decade and will change further as a result of governmental strategies to control costs and improve access of medical care to the underserved. In view of such transformations in the practice of medicine, the Adani group will continue to make efforts to improve ambulatory care systems and health care network, in response to the needs and expectations of the patients and community. The responsibility for sound medical management ultimately lies on the shoulders of the primary-care physician. GAIMS aims at training the students and residents in comprehensive care for the patient with a view to improving the overall quality of health care delivery in Gujarat.
